Free Udyam verification tool. Paste your Udyam URN to check its format, decode the state & district, and link directly to the official Udyam verification portal — all in one place. No signup, no email needed.
Type or paste your 19-character Udyam Registration Number. We auto-format it for you.
Every Udyam Number follows a strict 19-character format. Each segment encodes specific information about your registration:
Fixed prefix denoting the unified MSME registration system. Replaced Udyog Aadhaar from 1 July 2020.
The 2-letter Indian state code where the enterprise is registered, e.g., MH (Maharashtra), KA (Karnataka), DL (Delhi).
The numeric district code within that state. Each state assigns sequential district numbers per its administrative boundaries.
A unique 7-digit sequence assigned by the Udyam portal. Permanent for the lifetime of your registration.
Whether you're applying for a bank loan, registering on GeM, claiming MSME tender preferences, or filing for the CGTMSE guarantee — most institutions verify your URN against the official Udyam database. Catching a format error before submitting saves time and avoids paperwork rejections.
Banks verify your URN against the Udyam portal before sanctioning MSME-priority loans or CGTMSE collateral-free guarantees. An incorrect URN delays sanction.
GeM seller registration and central/state government tender bids require URN validation. Wrong format = registration error or lost bid eligibility.
If your certificate was filed by an agent and you weren't given the URN clearly, this tool helps confirm whether the number you have is even structurally valid.
Our format checker confirms the structure of your Udyam URN. For complete Udyam verification — confirming the URN is officially registered and active in the government database — follow these steps:
📌 Important: The portal needs the mobile number that was used during original registration. If you've lost access to that mobile, you'll need to update it through the Udyam grievance portal before verification will work.
We help with everything — fresh Udyam Registration (₹999, 24-48 hr), recovering a lost URN, editing certificate details (₹599), and migrating old Udyog Aadhaar to Udyam.
See Our Services →A Udyam Registration Number (URN) follows the format UDYAM-XX-NN-NNNNNNN. UDYAM is a fixed prefix. XX is the 2-letter state code (e.g., MH for Maharashtra). NN is the 2-digit district code. The final 7 digits are a unique sequence number. Total length is 19 characters including dashes.
Our tool here checks the format. To verify the URN is officially registered with the Government of India and active, visit udyamregistration.gov.in → "Print/Verify Udyam Registration Certificate" and enter your URN + mobile number. The portal displays the live, signed certificate.
On udyamregistration.gov.in click "Forgot Udyam Number" under Login. You'll need your Aadhaar-linked mobile to receive an OTP. If your mobile is no longer accessible, you must update it through the Udyam grievance portal first. Step-by-step guide here.
Example: UDYAM-MH-04-1234567. UDYAM = fixed prefix. MH = Maharashtra state code. 04 = Pune district code (varies by state). 1234567 = unique 7-digit serial number for this specific enterprise.
Yes. Udyam Registration is one-time with lifetime validity. No annual renewal, no expiry. Your URN remains the same even when your tier classification (Micro/Small/Medium) changes automatically based on latest ITR & GST data.
Numbers starting with UDYOG are old Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum (UAM) numbers issued before July 2020. These are no longer recognised as MSME proof. You must migrate to the new Udyam system at udyamregistration.gov.in. We can do the migration for you.
No — only the official Udyam portal can confirm a URN exists in the government database. Our format checker tells you if the structure is valid (correct length, valid state code, correct dash positions). A structurally valid URN may or may not be real. Yes. Each separate enterprise (with different PAN, or distinct business activity under one proprietorship) gets its own URN. You cannot have two URNs for the same enterprise.
